Know the Effects of Heroin on Family

Every Heroin abuser might be in a view that, his habit of drug abuse is harmful only to him and thinks that he is spoiling his own life but not others. But he is not aware of the things which are effecting the persons who gave birth and brought him up with much care and affection. Since we are living in a society, we have to feel responsible about our habits and behavior which will show adverse effects on the society. Nobody will bother if you don't bring name and fame to your family, but at least try to carry the same respect that your parents had and never ever try to ruin it.

There are many people who really don't know how they are affecting their family. So, let us see the adverse effects of Heroin abusers on family life.
  • When one person of the family gets addicted by drugs, the other family members try to convince the individual. Naturally the drug addict never listens to others. This leads to frequent fights in the family which results in the families becoming apart. Hence there is a break up in the relations because of one person.
  • The addicted person never feels embarrassing or shameful and will not even bother about what others say about him. But the other family members cannot be like him, they can't live with such a disrespect in the society. This type of situation creates stresses and turmoil among the family members making them depressed.
  • If any one of the parents is suffering from drug addiction the children in the family will get affected and influenced by their habits and behavior. They feel that doing such things is not at all wrong since their parents are doing it. It affects their future badly, making them drug addicts.

It involves great pain and effort in raising a family and to gain respect for the same, from the society. But it will take very little time to break up the relation and to lose respect. There are so many people around us who know the pain of not having the family. So, it is good not to lose a lovable family for our selfish thoughts and habits.

Know How Heroin Effects Psychologically

Heroin, a drug which is ruining the lives of so many people in the word is a major problem prevailing in the present society. Many people are attracted towards it because of the excitement involved in having it. There are two factors which make it so addictive. One is the pleasurable sensation that heroin brings to the abused persons and other is to overcome the with drawl effects. When somebody wants to quit from abusing it they feel so depressed and painful which they can't bear and tend to have it again to feel free from that pain.

The psychological effects of abusing Heroin are more when compared to the physical effects. Physical effects can be cured with medicine or some other things but there is no medicine for psychological illness. This makes the drug abusers consume more and more Heroin to get out of that mental stress and one day they can't stay with out using it. Let us see some other effects of Heroin.

  • Depression: The main problem with which the drug addicts suffer from is depression. Some components in Heroin make the human body forget how to produce pleasurable sensations. So, they only feel pleasured when they have the drug and the remaining time they feel like depressed.
  • Addiction: The first dose of Heroin gives much pleasure when compared to the next ones. So, in order to feel that pleasure again and again the abusers will consume more and more amounts of Heroin. By taking large quantities, they get addicted more quickly and easily.
  • Insomnia: This state of mind makes the individual restless due to the lack of sleep during nights or waking up frequently with strong drug craving.

History of Cocaine

Cocaine is extracted from the Coca plant and it is used in many forms for nearly thousand years. It is originated in South America and chewed as a leaf by many people for centuries. It is considered as a powerful stimulant, appetite suppressant and anesthetic. In the Victorian era, many medicines contained cocaine, which were available for free use for babies and children especially when they were teething.

In the first twenty years of its making, Coca Cola consisted of cocaine but the laws regulated it in the early 1900’s and restricted its inclusion. Initially its usage has been considered as a rich mans drug, but the use of Crack Cocaine, which is a modified form of the original powdered form and it is prepared as a “Rock” or “Stone” and smoked in pipes, which made its usage down to street level.

Coca can also be eaten or brewed (boiled) as tea. Neither coca nor cocaine is physically addictive, but cocaine can develop a strong dependence. Cocaine as a stimulant increases the workload on the heart. When cocaine is taken nasally, nasal passages can be disturbed, which causes infections. Cocaine is also a local anesthetic, which can ‘numb’ the areas where it is applied.
