The Airless Tire Technology in car

In recent years, many, companies have tried to design airless tires that do not puncture. At last the best design created by the Michelin tweel, that is with the combination of the wheel as well as tire. This design is the one of the first best ideas to bring non-pneumatic tires to the attention of public.

This is developed by Michelin, this tires are not filled with air, therefore, this tires are called non-pneumatic. By developing this, the days have gone when the tire could leave you on the flat. This concept is not new as previously the cars have been crossed the country on the wheels of without air.

This airless tires do not use traditional wheel hub assembly, but the solid inner hub mounts to the axle that is fitted with polyurethane spokes that are arrayed in the pattern of wedges. Then the shear band is stretched around the spokes to form the outer edge of the tire. Then at last the thread is attached to the shear band.

This tweel looks like a very large future bicycle wheel and when it is put on the road, the spokes will absorb the impact from road as the air tires does. As the spoke bends, the thread and the shear will gets deformed temporarily and then spring back quickly to its shape. The ride will be more comfortable with the more pliant spokes. The tweel can be made with different spoke tensions, by allowing  them for handling different characteristics.
