Growing rose plants is pleasure for every gardener but there are some problems to grow them healthy. If you neglect them, it causes huge damage to rose plants. The following are some enemies for healthy rose plants.
Aphids: Mostly frequently found in buds, and encourages growing blacken leaves. This also reduces the size of flowers. These are seen in spring season, and early summers. Use water sprays to remove these.
Spider mites: Leaves become dry, and fall down with this. They are very tiny, and very difficult to identify on leaves. Cleaning the dust near plants can help in avoiding this infection.
Fuller rose beetles: This will chew away rose bushes and leaves. No pesticides can kill them; you should remove them using your hand.
Thrips: Creates brown streaks on rose flower. Easily move from one rose plant to another. Clip, and dispose the infected blooms.
Caterpillars: Caterpillars eat the leaves. These do not effect the growth of plant. Remove the effected leaves.
Rose Slug rose: They look similar to caterpillars. Remove them using water spray.
Leafcutter bees: Make semicircular holes on leaves. There is no effective way to remove these from the plants.
