Objectives of Banner Ads

Banner ads are usually rectangular boxes that appear on web pages. A hyper link is inserted to the rectangular box which navigates the browser to the advertisers site by clicking on the banner ad.  It is an inexpensive way of advertising.

Advertising objectives are necessary for any advertisement plan because objectives will help any business to achieve success. For that one needs to set targets and try to succeed in it. Objectives will help in monitoring success.

Branding
Branding is an important factor for any business. When people want to buy a product or service they will go for a familiar brand. Banner ads are very helpful to increase traffic of a website. Getting traffic from banner ads is called click through. Because users visit advertisers site by clicking on banner ad.

Understanding the market
When developing banner ads it is important to understand the market and get a grip of it. Because you need to know how, where and what type of audience you want to target.

Qualified leads
Qualified leads are very important because just clicking and visiting the advertisers site is not at all beneficial for advertiser. So it is necessary to measure the count of people who have seen the advertisement and have purchased the product/service. This count is called as qualified leads.

Define targets
Targets should be clearly defined, it should be very clearly like what you want to achieve with marketing campaigns.
