Know How Heroin Effects Psychologically

Heroin, a drug which is ruining the lives of so many people in the word is a major problem prevailing in the present society. Many people are attracted towards it because of the excitement involved in having it. There are two factors which make it so addictive. One is the pleasurable sensation that heroin brings to the abused persons and other is to overcome the with drawl effects. When somebody wants to quit from abusing it they feel so depressed and painful which they can't bear and tend to have it again to feel free from that pain.

The psychological effects of abusing Heroin are more when compared to the physical effects. Physical effects can be cured with medicine or some other things but there is no medicine for psychological illness. This makes the drug abusers consume more and more Heroin to get out of that mental stress and one day they can't stay with out using it. Let us see some other effects of Heroin.

  • Depression: The main problem with which the drug addicts suffer from is depression. Some components in Heroin make the human body forget how to produce pleasurable sensations. So, they only feel pleasured when they have the drug and the remaining time they feel like depressed.
  • Addiction: The first dose of Heroin gives much pleasure when compared to the next ones. So, in order to feel that pleasure again and again the abusers will consume more and more amounts of Heroin. By taking large quantities, they get addicted more quickly and easily.
  • Insomnia: This state of mind makes the individual restless due to the lack of sleep during nights or waking up frequently with strong drug craving.

These are some psychological problems with which the drug addicts suffer from.
