How Can Vitamins Help Prevent Diseases?

Vitamins are essential nutrient substances that are required for your body in very small amounts for normal growth, development, metabolism, and physical well-being.
There are two types of vitamins:

1) Water soluble vitamins.
2) Fat soluble vitamins.

Water soluble vitamins include B vitamins and vitamin C and are easily absorbed and secreted through urine by the body. The fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E and K and are stored in the body for a few days in the tissues and liver. Some of the vitamins are present in your daily consumed food and some are not. Vitamins are also helpful to chemical reactions in digestion of food and this cannot be done by the body on its own and acts as a helper in metabolism. So you must take vitamins in the form of diet such as fruit and vegetables. Vegetables and fruit also do not give some vitamins so we have to take from other ways, else deficiency occurs.

There are many reasons for following a healthy diet. To maintain health by preventing loss of muscle strength, bone mass, diseases like heart attacks, strokes, obesity, osteoporosis, and certain cancers, and for controlling chronic diseases and conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes myelitis, and celiac disease etc.

Vitamin deficiency will be occurs whenever you doesn't follow certain items in food which results deficiency. So you have to take different items in food. And these are different from proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

If you have any of the diseases, know that there is a deficiency of vitamins. These vitamins are recommended by the physician by conducting some tests. According to that he would advise you which vitamin you need to take.

Vitamins will prevent you from diseases if your food contains all the essential vitamins. If your daily diet does not contain the essential vitamins as required, you should seek advise of an expert physician and consume vitamins.
