Know About Types Of Ventilation Fans

An exhaust fan is a mechanical ventilation device that improves the quality of indoor air by drawing out stale and impure air from the home and bringing in fresh air.

There are various exhaust fans which are classified based on the location of mounting. They are:

(A)Ceiling Mounted Exhaust Fans:
Ceiling exhaust fans are those which are installed in the ceiling. Such fans expel stale air from
home upwards through the roof. The fan is connected to ducting, which is exhausted towards outside of the home through an external vent.

(B)Inline Exhaust Fans:
These exhaust fans are mounted in between ducting, therefore they are called as inline fan. The exhaust fan would be placed in between the duct work and the stale air would travel through the ducts and ultimately be expelled from home. They are very quiet because they are not mounted directly to the ceiling.

(C)Combination Exhaust Fans:
Exhaust fans are also available as combination units like fan light combination and heat fan light combination in which a heater, light and ventilating comes in a single device.

(D)Exterior Remote Mounted Exhaust Fans:
Exterior remote mounted fans are installed outside the home and pull out stale indoor air instead of pushing it out. They are noisy but most of the noise remains outside the home.

(E)Kitchen Range Exhaust Fans:
These fans are mounted inside the range hood over kitchen stove which help to remove stale air from the kitchen and also help to expel bad odors and reduce moisture levels in the cooking area.

(F)Wall Mounted Exhaust Fans:
These exhaust fans are installed on exterior walls, the stale air has a direct route to the outside of home and thus no duct work is required in installing these exhaust fans.

(G)Bathroom Fans:
Bathroom ventilating fans are perfect to use after showers or hot baths when a lot of moisture accumulates on the mirror, walls or windows. These fans are smaller than the other types.

The above types are available in the market and the customer can choose any variety according to his convenience.
